Jay Shanker is a veteran entertainment industry attorney whose practice encompasses a wide array of film, television, theater, music, live entertainment, new media, fine arts, publishing and sports industry transactions for individual and corporate clients, including both public and private companies, across the U.S. and abroad. His clients and their projects have over the years garnered prestigious international awards in every major creative media, including Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Clio nominations and awards. A graduate of Yale and the NYU School of Law, Mr. Shanker has practiced law in Los Angeles since 1981. In 2005 he relocated his practice to his native Oklahoma City, where he now serves as a director at Crowe & Dunlevy, a national law firm based in Oklahoma City with additional offices in Tulsa and Dallas. Mr. Shanker is co-author of Entertainment Law & Business, published by Juris in 2013. He was a contributing editor for Entertainment Industry Contracts, published by Matthew Bender in 1996 and co-editor of Law and the Television of the ‘80s, published by Oceana in 1982. Paul Supnik, based in Beverly Hills, California, practices trademark, copyright, and entertainment law . He advises businesses in the selection and use of brand identities, protects trademarks through registration strategies, enhances value through licensing, and litigates trademark and copyright disputes. Mr. Supnik has spoken on these subjects in the United States and internationally. Industries he has represented include: Internet, apparel, cosmetic, restaurant, advertising, sporting goods, software, financial, arts, and media. As a bar association leader, Paul Supnik has served as president of the Los Angeles Copyright Society, chair of both the Entertainment/IP Law and International Law Sections of the Los Angeles County Bar, and chair of the Los Angeles Lawyer magazine editorial board. Jonathan D. Reichman is a partner in the New York office of Andrews Kurth Kenyon LLP. He has over 30 years’ experience in litigation, licensing and counseling matters in copyright, trademark, unfair competition and right of publicity law, particularly for clients in the entertainment industry. World Trademark Review 1000 recognizes him as a leader in trademark matters and notes that he has “specific expertise in protecting rights related to fictional characters” (2016). He is ranked in New York by Chambers & Partners USA in the area of “Intellectual Property: Trademark & Copyright” (2014, 2016-2017). In addition, he has been recognized as a leading intellectual property lawyer by New York Super Lawyers (2016-2017).
