George Chan is a Partner at Simmons & Simmons and serves as the Head of the Simmons & Simmons (Beijing) Intellectual Property Agency. He graduated with a B.A., B.Sc. with honors, from Concordia University; LL.B., University of Ottawa; Ph.D., McGill University. George Chan is admitted to practice by the Law Society of Upper Canada in Ontario, Canada, and the Solicitors Regulation Authority which regulates solicitors in England and Wales.
Euan Taylor died unexpectedly in 2015 at the age of 52. Mr. Taylor was a brilliant lawyer and a good friend. We were dismayed to learn of his passing and dedicate our contribution to his memory. Please see encomium at the end of this chapter. The late Euan Taylor was Managing Director of the Vancouver Office of Benoît & Côté, and Principal of Euan Taylor Law Corporation, Vancouver, Canada. He graduated B.A., M.A., University of Cambridge; LL.B., University of British Columbia; Ph.D., University of London; and was admitted in British Columbia.
